Since 1996, Key has been building uncommon places — primarily in Bend, Hood River and Portland, Oregon. With every project, we strive for a workable paradox: to fit into the surroundings while also standing out — creating whole new opportunities for residents and businesses without unnecessarily disrupting historic precedents.
Many of our projects are the result of successful collaborations with public agencies including the Urban Renewal Agency of Bend, the Ports of Klickitat and Hood River, and the Portland Development Commission.
We take places that have been untouched for decades and turn them into vibrant community hubs for industrial and retail use alongside work-live areas.
Through our projects, we aim to build a sense of place and economic activity, where tenants and residents can feel they are part of something bigger. By strengthening the physical community fabric with a sustainable design/build philosophy, our work results in improved human habitat. This is our approach to environmentalism.
Jeff has been developing and investing in commercial real estate across Oregon and Washington for over 20 years. He particularly enjoys public agency work, which many of Key’s projects include — most commonly through the acquisition phase.

At Key, she oversees projects in Portland and Hood River — negotiating contracts, preparing budgets, coordinating private and public parties’ design, and tracking schedules. In addition to leading people and processes, she provokes discourse with diverse stakeholders to create cohesive strategies for development.
