DAKINE, Stoked Roasters, Decavo

DaKine was founded as an outdoor sportswear design and manufacturing business in Hood River in 1979. After two decades in downtown Hood River, they expanded to a new building at the Hood River waterfront. A combined design effort between Surround Architecture and Skylab Architecture includes workspace for product testing, river-view offices, a showroom, and a rooftop garden flanked with solar panels. Storage space for employee gear is ample for the ever-more-impressive team roster.

Stoked Roasters is a woman-owned roasting facility and tasting room. Jax Mariash founded the business amid a professional running career as the "official coffee of the outdoors" - all beans are certified organic and roasted to perfection in a custom built San Franciscan roaster.

The building also contains a machine shop for Decavo's large carbon fiber products.
